Eva is over 16 pounds now! My big growing girl, I can't believe it! She loves tongues, being startled, Twinkie Kitty, Baby Einstein, exersaucing, bananas, and her dad. She hates and food that is green. Today she tried strawberries for the first time, WOAH sour! One of our favorite routines right now is cornering the kitty first thing in the morning when he is so desperate for attention that he will put up with just about anything!

 Eva Marie was born May 26, 2012. 9 lbs. 12 oz.
She came one day before her due date.

 We went into the hospital to be induced on Thursday, May 24th. I wasn't dilated at all so they decided to try a prostaglandin before pitocin. Contractions started right away, nothing to strong but regular and strong enough that we couldn't start pitocin. Justin and I spent day 1 wandering the labor side of Mayo and watching TV (The sorcerer's apprentice). Ended the day at about 2 centimeters.

 Day 2 we started Pitocin right away because the second prostaglandin had done nothing to my cervix. Contractions became more regular and a bit more intense. We discovered the show chopped and enjoyed that. Ended day 2 at almost 3 centimeters.

 Day 3 Contractions really started Things started getting super painful and intense at about 10 AM. At every check through the day I stayed at 3 cm. I labored till about 6, when they decided she was never going to come out that way, my contractions, though excruciatingly painful, were doing absolutely nothing as she was too big for my uterus to contract around. And her head was too big to descend downward.

 So at 7pm she was born via C-section. They told me I would be able to see her from where I was, but this was false. I didn't see her for the first 30 mins. of her life.

 Eva is very healthy, has no trouble gaining weight, and has been able to lift up her own head since she was 2 days old!

 She surprised both Justin and I by coming out a girl! We are thrilled!

 I can't believe how quickly she is changing and growing. How different she already looks from when she was first born.

PUPPS

So now I have PUPPS a pregnancy rash that itches like the chicken pox! Pregnancy is awful!

Always tired, but poor sleep. Throbbing hips. Extremely hot. Unquenchable thirst. I need this baby to come now! measured at 44cm today, last week I measured 37, so either we are way off with measurements or this baby is growing faster then my body can handle, There is no more room! Come out!

so slow...

Time could not possibly be moving slower... and to top it off I now have a head cold, ugh.  But on the bright side of things, Justin bought me a station wagon, which in my personal experience, is "the mom car." (bet you can't guess what kind of car it is) Ooh and I got results back, I do not have cancer, so that's good. Oh and I got accepted at (I know big whoop) CVTC. I'll start this fall with just a couple classes.

All I need now is for Martian to hurry up and come out so I can at least be moderately comfortable when I lay down for short intervals.

I got a surprise 3d Ultrasound today! So exciting! And little Marvin is cute! yay! And we scheduled one more ultrasound at 39 weeks, though I would really like to be done already by that point... Ooh and baby has hair!

Today my stomach gurgled and it was just loud enough to startle my baby! arms and legs flailed frantically in every direction!

update

Only 10-12 weeks left! Finally starting to feel like I am getting close! Lately this little martian has been trying to escape straight through my tummy, had it's head sticking out a good 1.5 inches the other night! I keep having dreams where I have the baby and it is soooo disappointing to wake up still pregnant. Oh and then this weekend the baby had hiccups, felt like it was jumping up and down in side me, pretty crazy.

27 weeks

There will be at least one more ultra sound in April due to the fact that my kids got 5th's again. But everything looks good, baby is practicing breathing, heart is beating 160bpm at this visit. Martian is positioned sideways in my belly with feet above head, making pictures very difficult for the ultrasound Tech.

Cravings

So every other Monday, after a full day of work, I swing by the bank to put my check in, pick up a few odds and ends at the mall (always needing a new maternity size something) and then it's off to the grocery store. That sounds simple only by this time I am exhausted and starving, so everything in the store looks either amazing (must have) or unbearably disgusting.

Anyway I went into the cereal aisle looking for a decent on sale cereal, maybe Cheerios, I thought, There was only one flavor of Cheerios on sale. A little later in the ice cream aisle once again only one flavor of ice cream on sale. Did I mention I've been craving peanut butter?

s- Just suck your stomach in like me, well then just try harder...
